On June 13, 2009 Nadja's Organic Cookies were in attendance for the special union of Ellen Starck and PJ Schaffer. The wedding was held in one of the most enchanted gems on Lake Erie, close to Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada. Those who know of this place know it by many different names, such as Point Abino, Abino Bay or Bay Beach but to all of us, it means the same thing - a very special place - which was a perfect location for this very special day.
Ellen designed her own dress using beautiful fabric ordered from Lanificio Campore in Italy and her Mother's wedding veil, which was so exquisite. The ceremony was held at the darling Holloway Memorial Chapel followed by a boat ride over to the Canoe Club for the reception. What is also so wonderful about this couple was their option of offering a gift registry and also a charity registry for those who wanted to donate to Ellen and PJ's charities in honor of their wedding.
